﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>amanda21580's Xanga</title><link>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/</link><description>Latest Xanga weblog from amanda21580</description><language>en-us</language><ttl>60</ttl><image><title>The Weblog Community</title><url>http://s.xanga.com/images/xangalogobutton.gif</url><link>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/</link></image><item><title>Friday, October 30, 2009</title><link>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/715504256/item/</link><guid>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/715504256/item/</guid><pubDate>Fri, 30 Oct 2009 03:02:33 GMT</pubDate><description>I was going to post but I am so tired I cannot even see straight.&amp;nbsp; The computer screen is hard to focus on!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'm off from my regular job tomorrow but working the other job from 3 pm to 10 pm.&amp;nbsp; I'll try to post tomorrow!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description><comments>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/715504256/item/#firstcomment</comments></item><item><title>Monday, October 26, 2009</title><link>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/715240552/item/</link><guid>http://amanda21580.xanga.com/715240552/item/</guid><pubDate>Mon, 26 Oct 2009 02:08:56 GMT</pubDate><description>Our mini vacation is almost over and it is making me kinda sad.&amp;nbsp; I don't wanna drive back home tomorrow and then do the whole work thing.&amp;nbsp; &lt;img src="http://s.xanga.com/images/sad.gif"&gt;&amp;nbsp; Here's a summary of our trip.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Friday we both worked.&amp;nbsp; When we got home we packed up and headed out.&amp;nbsp; The drive was going pretty slow.&amp;nbsp; We stopped in&amp;nbsp; Terre Haute to get dinner.&amp;nbsp; We went to a place that Jason had been to before and thought was pretty good.&amp;nbsp; I had chicken strips and wasn't very impressed.&amp;nbsp; And the bathrooms were DISGUSTING!&amp;nbsp; I've been in better gas station bathrooms!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After dinner we headed back out on the road.&amp;nbsp; I drank too much pop at dinner so we stopped at the first exit with a gas station.&amp;nbsp; Again, the bathroom was GROSS.&amp;nbsp; It was actually worse than the restaurant bathroom but ONLY because it was a unisex bathroom and there was a urinal.&amp;nbsp; I have never seen so many pubes in one spot before.&amp;nbsp; Men are yucky.&amp;nbsp; That made the gas station restroom tied with the restaurant bathroom.&amp;nbsp; The thing that made it worse was that there was no soap.&amp;nbsp; Eww!&amp;nbsp; Oh, and the toilet bowl was oval but the toilet seat was round!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I got some coffee and we were back on the road.&amp;nbsp; I was afraid to touch anything because I felt so dirty.&amp;nbsp; I secretly was trying to will Jason to stop at the next exit just so I could wash my hands!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The last half of the trip went pretty fast. We made it to St. Louis and it was time to find our hotel.&amp;nbsp; We booked the hotel last weekend.&amp;nbsp; Everything we were looking at was around $105/night.&amp;nbsp; I hate playing that much money to stay in a hotel. We looked a little cheaper and found one that was $65.&amp;nbsp; Jason left it up to me and I said to go ahead and do it.&amp;nbsp; I figured if it was dirty we would just ask for another room.&amp;nbsp; Well, as we were driving I started getting worried.&amp;nbsp; I was wishing we had splurged and gotten a decent room.&amp;nbsp; I was afraid that we were gonna be in a dump in the ghetto.&amp;nbsp; Well, the hotel was in an area surrounded by probably empty buildings and a lot of construction equipment.&amp;nbsp; It wasn't looking good.&amp;nbsp; But when we walked in you could smell the new construction.&amp;nbsp; That made me feel better.&amp;nbsp; The room ended up okay and the staff was very friendly.&amp;nbsp; WHEW!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We went to bed pretty soon after getting settled into our room.&amp;nbsp; Saturday we both slept in pretty late.&amp;nbsp; Yes, even Jason!&amp;nbsp; We went to eat at a place Jason had found online.&amp;nbsp; It was delicious.&amp;nbsp; And they had bread pudding!&amp;nbsp; I was so excited.&amp;nbsp; But, I was so stuffed after eating our meal that I didn't have any room.&amp;nbsp; I had pulled bbq pork.&amp;nbsp; The meat and sauce was great and the bun tasted like a croissant.&amp;nbsp; I also had onion rings and they had a breading that reminded us of our favorite restaurant in Lafayette.&amp;nbsp; After lunch we went to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery.&amp;nbsp; We went on a tour and then to the hospitality room where we got two free beers.&amp;nbsp; We were going to hit up a winery afterwards but the closest one wasn't open so we just went back to the hotel.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We both ended up taking a nap and relaxing.&amp;nbsp; We went to dinner at another place Jason found online and once again it was DELICIOUS.&amp;nbsp; We had pizza and it had the absolute best cheese on it.&amp;nbsp; Yum!&amp;nbsp; Jason mentioned going back to the place we had lunch so I could get bread pudding.&amp;nbsp; But again, we were so full after the pizza that neither of us even mentioned it when dinner was over.&amp;nbsp; After dinner we went back to the hotel for some tv, relaxing and sleep.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Sunday morning we got up early and got ready for the game.&amp;nbsp; We found a place to park and then went walking to find a place that served breakfast.&amp;nbsp; We went to a bar/restaurant and had some bloody mary's and a good breakfast.&amp;nbsp; Then we walked around to find an ATM.&amp;nbsp; We found a Starbucks and I got a white mocha - it's been so long since I've had Starbucks...I'd forgotten how yummy it was.&amp;nbsp; We ended up hanging out around the stadium while I drank my coffee and Jason had a beer.&amp;nbsp; Then we headed in to our seats.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We were in the 2nd row next to the endzone.&amp;nbsp; We were so close!&amp;nbsp; The game was good and there were tons of Colt's fans...it was almost like playing a home game.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After the game we stopped at a bar and sat outside to have a couple drinks and watch people walk past.&amp;nbsp; There was also free chili.&amp;nbsp; How cool is that?&amp;nbsp; We went to the car and there was no one collecting money as we left...so our parking was FREE!&amp;nbsp; What luck!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;We couldn't decide what we wanted to do so we just went back to the hotel.&amp;nbsp; I watched TV and Jason fell asleep.&amp;nbsp; Eventually I fell asleep as well.&amp;nbsp; Jason woke me up and we went to another place he found online to eat.&amp;nbsp; As we were nearing where the restaurant was suppose to be we weren't sure if it was even there anymore.&amp;nbsp; I was secretly hoping it wasn't so we could go back to the bread pudding restaurant so I could finally get my dessert.&amp;nbsp; But, the restaurant was there so we went.&amp;nbsp; It was an oyster bar.&amp;nbsp; I had red beans and rice.&amp;nbsp; Jason had oysters and jambalaya.&amp;nbsp; And guess what was on the menu?&amp;nbsp; BREAD PUDDING!&amp;nbsp; All was right in the world and I finally got my dessert!&amp;nbsp; It also makes me less motivated to post.&amp;nbsp; But, one of the people I've followed for a while seems to be back and that has motivated me to maybe try a little harder.&amp;nbsp; I'm also trying to find new people to follow who actually post so I can continue reading and make some new xanga friends.&amp;nbsp; If you have any suggestions, pass them along!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Not a lot going on around here.&amp;nbsp; Just working and coming home.&amp;nbsp; The most exciting news lately is that we went to Tennessee to the Colt's game on Sunday.&amp;nbsp; Jason had been wanting to go for a couple weeks but since the game was at 8:20 pm and 4 &amp;amp; 1/2 hours away it didn't seem like a good idea when you add in the fact that I have to be at work at 7 am!&amp;nbsp; A coworker ended up asking me to cover her 10-6 shift and I agreed because I don't mind helping out.&amp;nbsp; So Sunday we were out to lunch at around 1:30 and Jason again mentioned going.&amp;nbsp; The practical side of me kept saying that we should stay home because I needed to get groceries, do laundry, save money and not be exhausted the entire week from no sleep.&amp;nbsp; But the impractical side of me thought it would be fun and exciting to take a last minute trip and be spontaneous.&amp;nbsp; The impractical side won out.&amp;nbsp; We went home to get coats and everything and left.&amp;nbsp; We bought our tickets on our phones while we were driving (don't you love technology).&amp;nbsp; We got there about an hour early and had plenty of time to grab a hotdog before the game.&amp;nbsp; Our tickets were in the 8th row!&amp;nbsp; So cool.&amp;nbsp; When we buy tickets at home we are always in the very highest section. 8th row is amazing!&amp;nbsp; The game was good.&amp;nbsp; The drive home went fairly fast.&amp;nbsp; We got home at 4:30 am and was in bed by 5 so I got about 4 hours of sleep.&amp;nbsp; I was really tired today though so I took a nap.&amp;nbsp; I should be caught up by now...as long as I can sleep tonight!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;This weekend Jason has drill.&amp;nbsp; Next weekend we are going to St Louis for&amp;nbsp; a weekend getaway and the Colts game that Sunday.&amp;nbsp; We will be there Friday to Monday.&amp;nbsp; Any suggestions on what we should do other than seeing the arch?&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'm still doing well with my calorie watching.&amp;nbsp; The first week of Jason being home I wasn't very good.&amp;nbsp; I haven't lost any weight since he has returned but I have been doing awesome this week so maybe when I weight myself on Monday I will have good news.&amp;nbsp; I've also managed to get back on the treadmill this week.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I probably won't put all my info in daily anymore since it takes too much time but I will give you the link to see what I ate, how many calories I ate and how many I burned (including deficit for the day).&amp;nbsp; I was using a program on my iphone but my 3 month subscription expired so now I'm using www.livestrong.com because it is free and much more accurate when it comes to their database of foods.&amp;nbsp; Once I figure out the link to give you I will post it.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Right now I need to take a shower so Jason and I can maybe have a date night.&amp;nbsp; I work the this weekend and tomorrow I have to be there at 6 so that means it will have to be an early night.&amp;nbsp; It's 7:30 am.&amp;nbsp; I'm all ready for bed.&amp;nbsp; Gonna sleep for a while (hopefully get at least 7&amp;nbsp; hours), then watch the NKOTB concert that was broadcast online last night (their last one...so sad), then shower and get ready for another overnight shift.&amp;nbsp; Saturday night's shift will be 12 hours.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Last night's shift went pretty fast.&amp;nbsp; I worked nonstop until 5:30.&amp;nbsp; I finally had everything caught up by then.&amp;nbsp; I had a weird meal (pasta...not sure if what to call it...supper?&amp;nbsp; breakfast?) and then relaxed a bit until it was time to leave at 7.&amp;nbsp; I just hooked up my armband to get Friday's details downloaded and saw that I'm already at 29 minutes of activity for today!&amp;nbsp; I thought I was working at my second job tonight but I wasn't...so I had a day off! Woohoo!&amp;nbsp; I was very very lazy today.&amp;nbsp; I slept in, took Caden the to groomer, had Chick-fil-A for lunch, picked Caden up, took a nap and then had a salad for supper.&amp;nbsp; Since I had a higher than usual calorie lunch and very limited activity today I had to be good at supper and just had a salad.&amp;nbsp; Luckily, I'm not hungry and it's been 4 hours since I ate so that's good.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After supper I got things ready for work tomorrow.&amp;nbsp; The coffee pot is ready to go, I packed my breakfast and lunch and weighed out and bagged snacks for tomorrow (celery: 9 calories, cucumbers: 18 calories, goldfish crackers: 140 calories).&amp;nbsp; That should be more than enough to get me through work.&amp;nbsp; I will probably end up only eating one of those snacks but at least I will have them ready to go for the rest of the day.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Then I came upstairs and put away clothes.&amp;nbsp; I had 3 baskets in my closet as well as a suitcase from our trip to Tennessee.&amp;nbsp; There were a lot of clothes to put away!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Next I cleaned the litter box.&amp;nbsp; The cat throws litter all over so I had to vacuum all that up as well.&amp;nbsp; I am so tired of the litter box.&amp;nbsp; I want to put it in the basement.&amp;nbsp; Like &lt;a href="http://shamrocklover.xanga.com/"&gt;Kelly&lt;/a&gt;, I would ideally like to put the litter box in the basement but I don't want the basement door open all the time and I'm too afraid to put a kitty door in the basement door.&amp;nbsp; Maybe I will do what she is thinking about and buy a cheap door to put the kitty door in and then save the regular door for if we move or when we no longer have the cat.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;There are so many things I want to do around this house to improve but it just requires so much work and a little bit of money.&amp;nbsp; Someday we'll get around to everything.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I wish I would have had all this energy earlier in the day.&amp;nbsp; Instead, it's 12:30 and I'm motivated to do stuff instead of sleep like I should be doing.&amp;nbsp; I guess I was a little backwards today.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Tomorrow I work 7-3 at the hospital and then 9pm to 7am at my second job.&amp;nbsp; I will have to come home and sleep from 4-8 or so.&amp;nbsp; Hopefully I can sleep.&amp;nbsp; Then I will come home Saturday&amp;nbsp; morning to sleep for a little but and then go back to the second job from 7pm to 7am Sunday morning.&amp;nbsp; It will be a busy weekend but it will be nice to get some extra money.&amp;nbsp; I always hate myself for doing the overnight shifts and I really really hate myself the second night.&amp;nbsp; But, it will be over soon and I will survive.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Most likely, I won't update again until Sunday night.&amp;nbsp; It's already 9 and I'm getting ready for bed.&amp;nbsp; Very tired.&amp;nbsp; I wanted to try to do some exercise but I am just too tired.&amp;nbsp; I am off tomorrow during the day so I'm hoping to get some cleaning done and at least do some kind of activity!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;While I sit in bed typing this, I am watching House Hunters.&amp;nbsp; At 1:00 I went to do some narration for some education things we have to do on the computer.&amp;nbsp; Basically there is a slide show with information and a quiz at the end.&amp;nbsp; I narrated the slide show.&amp;nbsp; I did one a few months ago and now have 4 more to go.&amp;nbsp; It's pretty fun.&amp;nbsp; Although it takes me a good hour before I really get my "narration voice" going.&amp;nbsp; Then I always want to go back to the beginning and start over.&amp;nbsp; I only got through 2 power points today.&amp;nbsp; I'm not completely satisfied with them but I ran out of time.&amp;nbsp; And I need to stop being such a perfectionist.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Right after work I went to the store to get things for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.&amp;nbsp; When I got home I cleaned out the refrigerator.&amp;nbsp; It was disgusting.&amp;nbsp; Months and months ago we found some celery that had gone from celery to mush to brown LIQUID.&amp;nbsp; It leaked all over the drawer, onto the shelf below and onto the bottom of the fridge.&amp;nbsp; It was sticky, thick and stinky.&amp;nbsp; I can't believe that our refrigerator looked like that for so long.&amp;nbsp; In our defense, you couldn't see the really bad spots until I took everything out of the fridge and removed the drawers.&amp;nbsp; Then it was really gross.&amp;nbsp; I took a picture but it's slightly embarrassing so I won't be sharing it here!&amp;nbsp; I ended up throwing out all the old stuff (I found some pickles that were "sell by 2007."&amp;nbsp; Yeah..there was a lot of junk in there!&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Next I chopped lettuce, red peppers and celery for salads.&amp;nbsp; It is all in containers in the fridge so I can just make up a salad whenever I want without having to worry about cutting everything up for the salad.&amp;nbsp; I also cut up some cucumbers for snacks as well as grapes.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The fridge looks so much prettier and my&amp;nbsp; healthy food is right there ready to go!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;My inspiration was mom's fridge, which is always stocked with food when I come home and is organized very very pretty.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After all that, I made a salad with diced chicken.&amp;nbsp; I ate healthy at lunch but caved and bought an apple turnover.&amp;nbsp; I don't know the exact calories so I guess by using the calories for 1 &amp;amp; 1/2 of the apple turnovers at Arby's (it was a good sized turnover).&amp;nbsp; That turnover alone was probably over 500 calories...so I had to be good for supper!&amp;nbsp; My salad was 227 calories!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I watched the Natalee Holloway story that was on Lifetime.&amp;nbsp; It was on the other day and I had recorded it but didn't get around to watching it until today.&amp;nbsp; Now I sit here wondering if I would have done something like that at her age.&amp;nbsp; Would I have gotten into a car with a guy I had met at the club?&amp;nbsp; Maybe.&amp;nbsp; Maybe a little more so if I had been drinking.&amp;nbsp; I don't know.&amp;nbsp; It's hard to say but kind of scary because I could see myself being that naive at 18.&amp;nbsp; I can't stop thinking about it.&amp;nbsp; I would hope that my friends would refuse to let me get in the car with some random person in another country.&amp;nbsp; I would also hope that I would refuse to let any of my friends do the same.&amp;nbsp; I think all young people should watch the movie or at least really familiarize themselves with the story so they will think twice about being so carefree with their lives.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Right now I'm in bed.&amp;nbsp; Gonna finish up here and then see if I can get Jason to take a break and talk to me before I fall asleep.&amp;nbsp; He called last night when I was asleep and when I was talking to him I was barely awake.&amp;nbsp;
