It seems like not may people post much anymore and that makes me sad.  It also makes me less motivated to post.  But, one of the people I've followed for a while seems to be back and that has motivated me to maybe try a little harder.  I'm also trying to find new people to follow who actually post so I can continue reading and make some new xanga friends.  If you have any suggestions, pass them along!

Not a lot going on around here.  Just working and coming home.  The most exciting news lately is that we went to Tennessee to the Colt's game on Sunday.  Jason had been wanting to go for a couple weeks but since the game was at 8:20 pm and 4 & 1/2 hours away it didn't seem like a good idea when you add in the fact that I have to be at work at 7 am!  A coworker ended up asking me to cover her 10-6 shift and I agreed because I don't mind helping out.  So Sunday we were out to lunch at around 1:30 and Jason again mentioned going.  The practical side of me kept saying that we should stay home because I needed to get groceries, do laundry, save money and not be exhausted the entire week from no sleep.  But the impractical side of me thought it would be fun and exciting to take a last minute trip and be spontaneous.  The impractical side won out.  We went home to get coats and everything and left.  We bought our tickets on our phones while we were driving (don't you love technology).  We got there about an hour early and had plenty of time to grab a hotdog before the game.  Our tickets were in the 8th row!  So cool.  When we buy tickets at home we are always in the very highest section. 8th row is amazing!  The game was good.  The drive home went fairly fast.  We got home at 4:30 am and was in bed by 5 so I got about 4 hours of sleep.  I was really tired today though so I took a nap.  I should be caught up by now...as long as I can sleep tonight!

This weekend Jason has drill.  Next weekend we are going to St Louis for  a weekend getaway and the Colts game that Sunday.  We will be there Friday to Monday.  Any suggestions on what we should do other than seeing the arch?  I've never been there before

Spontaneity is important in my opinion. It's healthy to keep some fun in your life, and it sounds like you guys had fun. As long as you don't feel run-down, I think it was a very good idea to go.

Hey--I've been reading your blog for a little while. I can't remember how I came across it...I think from someone else's blog I read.

Anyways, I went to St. Louis this summer for a long weekend. Doing the zoo is fun because it's free and it's really cool. Right near the zoo is the Art Museum (which is also free) and they had a lot of neat exhibits, and I'm not even a huge art fan! It might be a little chilly but I know they run these year round--we went to rent a paddle boat on this lagoon near the Art Museum. The museum and zoo and the Muny Theater are all in this huge park (if you ask at your hotel they could tell you how to get there) and down there is where we rented the paddle boat. We had a blast on it! There's also a cute little restaurant there.

Downtown besides the Arch there's a brand new hotel/casino which was a lot of fun on the weekend nights. It gets very busy down there but it was fun! We also went to a dueling piano bar downtown called The Big Bang which was a TON of fun and the musicians were really great. If you get there before 9, there's no cover. They have a Dave and Buster's in St. Louis which we thought was cool because we don't have one at home and we also went to the new Harrah's Casino, which is near D&B. They have a neat mall with a lot of stores also, and lastly, the Anheueser Busch Brewery tour was neat--it was completely free and you got free samples of beer.

Oh! One last thing--our hotel was about 20 min. from downtown in an area called Westport Plaza. There's a lot of cute restaurants there--probably too cold to sit outside, but they had some good food. There's also a comedy club there that we didn't go to but a lot of people raved about.

Hope that helped some!

That's cool that you went to the Colts game in Tennessee! Saw the game on television :) You got nice seats! We always get stuck with the highest seats too.

We're going to the game on 11/1 - and have good seats. I'm really excited!

Do you still work at the hospital?
