| | I got a lot of random stuff done today. Go me!
First, I slept til noon. Woohoo! Jason had been up a while and was starving. We had lunch and then went to see a UP in 3D. It was cute. Next we stopped at Lowe's to get some cheap little pots for these plants I have. A co-worker had a spider plant that was really cute so she made little baby spider plants for me. I have 4 of them. 2 have grown quite a bit and the other 2 aren't doing so well. We bought three pots that were nice enough looking and only $3. Jason said they won't be in the little pots for that long so I wasn't picky about what we got. They look decent though. So now I have my plants repotted so they can grow. They were outgrowing their styrofoam cups. I just hope they adjust to their new home and continue to grow. I'm terrible at growing things so we will see.
When we got home I decided to clean my car. My mom is coming tomorrow so I can take her shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding. I will be driving so I figured my car needed to be clean. She always makes comments about how messy my car is. In all honesty, it IS terrible. My backseat is covered in crap. The passenger seat and floor usually is as well. I can never have anyone in my car or drive when Jason and I go somewhere because there is no room. And if someone absolutely HAS to ride with me then everything from the front gets thrown into the black hole in the backseat which I hate. The things in the front seat are usually important - that's why they are right next to me! :) If they go in the back I will never see them again. And then the back gets even worse! So, I cleaned all the junk out of the car, vacuumed, dusted, and cleaned out the cup holders and cubby holes that were all sticky from coffee and pop getting in them. I tried to use the Bissell Green Machine to clean stains on my front two seats but it ended up looking worse when it dried. I don't know what to do now! Guess I will just have to start piling stuff on the passenger side again to hide it. I didn't even attempt to clean out the trunk. I didn't have to energy to do that. Doing the rest of the car was enough for the day. I can't remember the last time I cleaned my car. I know I blogged about it because I mentioned that I filled up an entire trash bin with stuff. I wonder how long ago that was? So, my car is nice and pretty inside. Wonder how long it will last?
After I cleaned my car I decided to hit some of the stains on the carpet in the house since I had the carpet cleaner out. I did some spots in the living room, office and bedroom. Then I cleaned the machine and the attachments.
We started watching a movie we had rented and halfway through Jason decided he was hungry. He wanted to get hot dogs and cook something simple but I was really craving Mexican. He didn't want it so I figured we were driving to the store for hot dogs. But, he ended up at a Mexican restaurant just a couple miles from the house! Yea! Halfway through the meal the tornado sirens were going off and some weather site that Jason looked at said there were 2 tornados headed our way. It was bad enough that Jason decided we should leave and go home. I didn't get to finish my meal and didn't want to wait for a to go container. We got home and watched from the porch for a while and then went it to watch the movie. A little while later we went back outside to watch and listen to the Nine Inch Nails concert going on a few miles away.
We finally got the movie finished and the I folded laundry while watching Jay Leno's last show (we recorded it last night - thank you Jason).
I just showered and I'm waiting for my hair to dry. Jason has fallen asleep without getting ready for bed. At least he fell asleep in the bed this time. He has fallen asleep downstairs three times this week. I can never get him to wake up so he usually sleeps down there for quite a while.
Time to read Glamour and try to fall asleep.
